The annual BBC conference is co-organized and co-owned by BRS along with Rising Media, an event management company. Gladys S.W. Lam is Executive Director. Ronald G. Ross is Program Co-Chair. In the most recent year, over 1,400 people attended from 27 countries around the world, 43 U.S. states, and 9 Canadian provinces. BBC is the Official Conference of the IIBA®.
BBC is distinguished by its focus on complete business solutions, not just IT or technology. Its attendees represent an exceptional body of professionals tasked with building more capable organizations. It features world-class case studies from around the globe, presentations by industry thought-leaders, and high-profile workshops.
BRS started BBC as the Business Rules Forum conference in 2000, still one of the BBC sub-events. The focus was expanded to decision models in 2007, to business processes in 2008, and to business architecture in 2013.
A major milestone for the BBC occurred in 2010, when it partnered with the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) to cover the business analysis space. Today the BBC includes 4 Trails, more than a dozen Themes, a world-class Product Expo, and limitless opportunities for networking.
BBC is all about projecting leadership in the professional space. Topics and presenters are selected for thought leadership, innovation and excellence. BBC is the fun place to be for serious professionals.
BBC provides the unique opportunity for synergistic business disciplines to coalesce for organizational success. A global community of thought leaders, insiders and leading practitioners speak, participate and network with the common goal of advancing their professional skills in order to build more robust business capabilities for their organizations.

“Instructors were very knowledgeable and could clearly explain concepts and convey importance of strategy and architecture.
It was a more comprehensive, holistic approach to the subject than other training. Emphasis on understanding the business prior to technology considerations was reassuring to business stakeholders.”

“We actively use the BRS business-side techniques and train our business analysts in the approach. The techniques bring clarity between our BAs & customers, plus more robust requirements for our development teams. We’ve seen tremendous value.”
Jeanine Bradley – Railinc
“I found the course interesting and will be helpful.
I like the pragmatic reality you discuss, while a rule tool would be great, recognizing many people will use Word/Excel to capture them helps. We can’t jump from crazy to perfect in one leap!
Use of the polls is also great. Helps see how everyone else is doing (we are not alone), and helps us think about our current state.”
Trevor – Investors Group
“Sessions flow together well and build upon the concepts for the series which makes the learning easy and better retention.
The instructor is knowledgeable and very attentive to the audience given the range of attendees skill and knowledge of the subject at hand. I enjoy her training sessions.”
